Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gump Worsley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Sucre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Sucre's choice of entrance music: Capital Punishment. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gump Worsley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fernando Sucre! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Worsley slips a jab and a cross from Sucre.
Sucre throws a right hand that Worsley ducks under and follows up with a left that Worsley also avoids with ease. Worsley slips a jab from Sucre. Worsley moves away from the strike by Sucre. The fighters circling - Sucre throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Sucre throws a right hand that Worsley ducks under and follows up with a left that Worsley also avoids with ease. Worsley throws a shot to the body.
Sucre throws a right and a left that both miss. Worsley shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sucre's guard. Worsley scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Worsley decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sucre, up you get! Worsley looks to score with a jab to the body but Sucre is just out of range. A combination from Sucre does no damage. Worsley closes the distance and clinches. Worsley wants to break free but Sucre has control.
Worsley throws a knee to the head but misses.
Sucre is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Worsley breaks from the clinch.
Worsley misses with a double jab.
Sucre needs to keep his hands up - Worsley had a free shot at his head there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sucre falls off balance throwing a combination
and Worsley moves into the clinch. Worsley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sucre swinging wildly here.
Worsley motions for Sucre to come forward. Worsley throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Sucre throws a combination that misses and Worsley counters with a good low kick that Sucre was not able to check. Sucre digs a good hook to Worsley's body.
Sucre has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Worsley. Fernando Sucre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Worsley shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Worsley wants to stand up but Sucre has a hold of him and won't allow it. Sucre moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Worsley wants to stand but Sucre is controlling his posture from full guard. Sucre looking for a guillotine here but Worsley defends easily.
Worsley avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sucre escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Worsley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sucre looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sucre is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Worsley missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Worsley postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Worsley postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Worsley gets to his feet - Sucre follows without any prompting. Sucre looks to land a combination but Worsley avoids it well. The fighters circling - Sucre throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Worsley shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sucre napping and manages to drive through into side control! Worsley wants to stand but Sucre is controlling his arm. Sucre tries to improve position but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Worsley working away. Sucre manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Worsley is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sucre is just riding it out for now. Worsley eventually gives up the hold. Sucre regains full guard. Nicely done. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sucre throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Sucre is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gump Worsley dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Worsley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Worsley counters with a nice body kick.
Worsley has closed the distance and engaged Sucre in a clinch.

Sucre throws a right and a left that both miss. Sucre jabs at Worsley's body. Sucre swings away with a body shot that misses
and Worsley makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Worsley misses with a few strikes there.
Sucre looks to land a combination. Worsley sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Worsley swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gump Worsley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Worsley comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Sucre lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Worsley circles away quickly and effectively. No joy there for Sucre, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A slapping leg kick lands for Worsley.
That's one minute gone in the round. Worsley throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Fernando Sucre is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sucre throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Worsley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sucre swats him away and circles back towards the center. Sucre misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sucre misses with the combination.
Worsley throws a nice inside leg kick. Sucre tries to bum rush Worsley with a series of wild strikes but Worsley uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sucre misses with a double jab
and Worsley cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Worsley thuds a left hand into Sucre's body. Worsley misses with a combination
and Sucre counters with a stiff right hand. Worsley with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

and Worsley counters with a two punch combo. Worsley looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Worsley fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sucre sprawls well initially but Worsley persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Worsley tries to stand and escape but Sucre is controlling the position. Sucre is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Worsley's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Worsley's back! Sucre has his arm under Worsley's chin here. Game over son! Sucre squeezes tightly and Worsley is forced to tap out!
