Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jorgen Kruth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cpt Spaulding (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Spaulding as Kruth shoots in. Kruth shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Spaulding but Spaulding pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kruth fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jorgen Kruth. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kruth looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Spaulding is fending him off so far but Kruth persists. Nope, Spaulding circles away and we're back to standing. Kruth throws a leg kick but Spaulding checks it. Kruth shoots for a takedown but Spaulding saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Spaulding drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kruth wants to sweep but no luck. Kruth will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kruth can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Spaulding controls the pace. Kruth lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Spaulding! Kruth lands with some strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spaulding avoids a strike by Kruth and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Kruth's guard! Fantastic escape!
Kruth really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kruth looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kruth is trying to control the position but Spaulding postures up. Spaulding wants to stand but Kruth is controlling his posture from full guard. Kruth has control of Spaulding's left arm, preventing Spaulding from doing any damage. Kruth can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Spaulding controls the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Spaulding wants to pass the guard but Kruth is keeping the position. Kruth is trying to control the position but Spaulding postures up. Spaulding really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kruth. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Spaulding won't allow Kruth to sweep him here.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kruth is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kruth throws a sloppy head kick and Spaulding moves out of range easily. The fight moves into the clinch position. Spaulding looking to throw knees to the head but Kruth is blocking nicely.
Spaulding tries a knee to the head but Kruth blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kruth keeps control of Spaulding as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Spaulding lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Kruth pulls Spaulding in to control the position. Kruth's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Kruth throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Kruth tries to strike from the bottom.
Spaulding won't allow Kruth to sweep him here. Kruth throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Kruth is breathing heavily. Spaulding is looking to stand up but Kruth won't let him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kruth tries to land a sweep but no joy.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Spaulding moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Kruth tries for a takedown but Spaulding circles away easily and Spaulding counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Spaulding stopping the sweep attempt from Kruth. Kruth has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Kruth is trying to keep Spaulding in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cpt Spaulding dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kruth fails in his attempt to clinch. Kruth moves into range and clinches up with Spaulding. Kruth wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A bit of stalling here from Kruth.
Spaulding misses with a knee to the head. Kruth can't break the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kruth is looking to stand up but Spaulding isn't so interested in that idea. Kruth wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Spaulding is now in half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kruth is trying to stand back up but Spaulding is controlling him

Spaulding is keen to just control but Kruth is a slippery customer. Spaulding wants to work for an arm triangle but Kruth is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kruth fails with the takedown and Spaulding decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kruth's guard. Spaulding content to stall in guard here. Spaulding stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kruth swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kruth wants to sweep but no luck. Kruth pushes Spaulding off and gets back to his feet.
Jorgen Kruth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kruth gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Spaulding counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Spaulding is thwarting Kruth's attempts to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kruth moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Spaulding tries to stand but Kruth is controlling from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kruth pulls Spaulding in close to his closed guard and prevents Spaulding from doing any damage or advancing position. Kruth is trying to keep Spaulding in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kruth is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Spaulding stopping the sweep attempt from Kruth. Kruth working a defensive guard here.
Kruth manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Spaulding manages to get himself to full guard.
Kruth is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cpt Spaulding showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Spaulding decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. A head kick from Kruth lands but Spaulding takes it in his stride. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Spaulding forces Kruth back against the cage and clinches. Spaulding just leaning against Kruth, taking a breather. Kruth breaks from the clinch.
Kruth tries for a takedown but Spaulding circles away easily and Spaulding counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Spaulding. Kruth trying to control the position.
Kruth is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Spaulding controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Kruth sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kruth prevents Spaulding from improving his position. Kruth is pressing down on Spaulding's thigh, looking to free his foot. Spaulding is holding on for now. Kruth throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kruth is working for a kimura but Spaulding is defending it quite comfortably.
Spaulding is refusing to be controlled, as Kruth sits in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kruth stops Spaulding from getting back to his feet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Kruth wants to clinch and Spaulding counters by clinching up. Kruth jumps guard but Spaulding stands there with Kruth around his waist. Kruth gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Spaulding is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Jorgen Kruth has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kruth cracks Spaulding with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
And that's the end of the fight! Cpt Spaulding comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Spaulding has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
