Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevenson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Townsend is fending him off so far but Stevenson persists. Nope, Townsend circles away and we're back to standing.
Horrible takedown by Stevenson or perhaps it was just good defense by Townsend which made him look bad.
Stevenson goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Stevenson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Stevenson fails with a takedown attempt.
Earl Townsend has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Stevenson.
Stevenson lands a high kick!
Townsend scores with a sloppy right hand. Stevenson should have avoided that one.
Stevenson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Townsend sprawls well. Townsend wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stevenson gets slowly back to his feet.
A combination from Townsend does no damage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Stevenson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Townsend swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Stevenson shoots in for a takedown but Townsend shows good takedown defense.
Townsend swats away the attempt to clinch by Stevenson.
Stevenson throws a combination. Townsend tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Stevenson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Stevenson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Townsend moves into range and clinches up with Stevenson.
Stevenson tries for a takedown. No joy.
Townsend jumps into guard, dragging Stevenson to the mat.
Stevenson wants to control from the top but Townsend keeps moving.
Townsend has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Stevenson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Townsend connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Townsend lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Stevenson can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Townsend and Stevenson drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Townsend.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Earl Townsend!
