Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Combs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnold Equator (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Combs comes to the cage accompanied by All About The Benjamins. Equator is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Vodka Inferno. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Combs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Arnold Equator!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Columbo Gatti and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Combs takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.


It looks like Sean Combs has been cut.
Equator throws a series of punches but Combs moves out of range.
Equator stuffs the takedown attempt from Combs. Combs gets slowly back to his feet.
Equator throws a looping overhand right but Combs ducks down to avoid it.
Equator throws a leg kick but Combs moved away.
Combs misses with a two punch combination.
Equator misses with a combination
and Combs cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Equator swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Combs cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Equator takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Combs moves forwards but Equator connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Equator throws a combination that misses
and Combs counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Combs changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Equator lands with a nice combination. Combs backs away looking to recover.
Equator swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Combs counters with a nice uppercut.
Combs shoots in looking for a takedown. Equator tries to sprawl out of it but Combs keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Equator manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Equator throws a combination that misses
and Combs counters with a two punch combo.

Combs fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Equator sprawls well initially but Combs persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Combs wants to control but Equator is keeping him busy.
Equator is trying to stand back up but Combs is controlling him
Equator looks gassed!

Combs is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Combs takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Equator is in trouble now - Combs has advanced to mount!
Combs tries to control but Equator wriggling away.
Equator's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Combs tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
A nice elbow there by Combs.
Equator is trying to stand.
Combs punching from mount but Equator doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Equator really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Combs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Combs lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Combs trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Combs looking to control and managing it successfully.

Combs looking to secure an arm triangle but Equator defends it well.
Equator is trying to stand.
Equator is squirming around, avoiding Combs's attempts to control the action.

Equator blocking the ground and pound.
Combs wants to control the pace but Equator is squirming around nicely.
Equator is trying to stand.

Combs has hold of Equator's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Equator manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Equator squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Combs showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Equator.
Combs lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


It looks like Arnold Equator has been cut.
Combs lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Equator falls off balance throwing a combination
and Combs counters with a stiff right hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Equator rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Combs moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Arnold Equator is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Combs tries to clinch but Equator moves out of range.

Combs closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Combs lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Equator backwards.
Combs lands an uppercut.
Combs keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Equator's efforts to push away.
Combs working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Combs lands a right hand that snaps the head of Equator backwards.
Equator wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Combs pushes Equator back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Equator has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Combs dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Equator is breathing heavily.
Combs lands a hook that snaps the head of Equator backwards.

Combs lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Equator prevents a takedown attempt there.

Combs jumps guard and drags Equator to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Combs is adopting a defensive guard.

Equator is sitting in close to Combs's body. Combs has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Equator is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Equator is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Combs.
