Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akira Filipunaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rainer Killeri!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Filipunaki looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Killeri looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Killeri trying to control but Filipunaki postures up.
Killeri is refusing to be controlled, as Filipunaki sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Killeri is trying to get back to full guard.
Filipunaki tries to pass to full mount but Killeri defends it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Killeri is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Filipunaki's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Filipunaki's back!
Filipunaki looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Filipunaki can't escape the position.
Filipunaki is trying to get back to his feet but Killeri has full control of the position and if anything, Filipunaki has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Killeri is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Filipunaki is defending well though. Killeri let's go of the attempt for now.
Filipunaki looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Filipunaki is in bad spot here.

Killeri is persistently looking for the submission but Filipunaki is defending it well.
Killeri looks gassed!
Filipunaki can't escape the position.

Killeri is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Filipunaki with him. Filipunaki is trying to defend but Killeri has an arm under the chin now! Filipunaki grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Rainer Killeri!
