Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Manny Cod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and l l (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cod might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to All I Do Is Win. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Manny Cod! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, l l! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! l changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cod looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Cod can't do much from the bottom here. l working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
l working the body and head with strikes. l working the ground and pound from side control. An elbow from l crashes against the mat.

Cod is trying to control l's posture but l avoids it. l throws a strike aimed at the side of Cod's head but Cod avoids it well. l throwing shots but missing, from side control. Cod takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
It looks like Manny Cod has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cod is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, l asserts his dominance and retains side control. l with the ground and pound but Cod regains half guard under the barage of strikes. l throws a strike but Cod avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Cod on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cod tries to get out of the position. Cod has control of l's left arm, preventing l from doing any damage. l trying to move into half guard but instead Cod has managed to sweep! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. l is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. l really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cod. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cod gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. l tries to clinch but Cod is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. l will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
l should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. l looks gassed! Cod lands with a kick to the temple. l shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like l l has been cut. l tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cod swats him away and circles back towards the center. l fails with a takedown attempt. Cod tries for a takedown but l circles away easily and l counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Cod is looking to stand up but l isn't so interested in that idea. l thows a big elbow that misses. Cod working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from l. l loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's three minutes gone in the round. l working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. l throws a strike but Cod rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. l wants to get back to his feet but Cod is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Cod throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as l works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Cod shoots in but l avoids the takedown attempt easily. l l seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. l scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Cod takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Cod wants to control but l postures up. Cod taking punishment in the form of punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. l lands a few punches from side control. l working the ground and pound from side control. Cod parries the strikes from l easily there. l is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Cod to escape.
Cod on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Cod throws l to one side and escapes! l shoots in and bounces Cod off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. l postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cod looking to control.
l must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cod trying to strike off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
l l dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Cod's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
l shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cod napping and manages to drive through into side control! l l has got the better of the ground game so far. l scoring with punches from side control. Cod wants to control but l postures up. Cod on the wrong end of some ground and pound. l working the strikes but Cod uses the opportunity to regain half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cod wants to control but l is keeping busy.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. l throws a strike but Cod avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Cod will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Cod avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A head kick from Cod lands but l takes it in his stride. Cod throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by l. l shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cod's guard. l in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. l is in close to Cod's body, working some short punches and elbows. Cod utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. l throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cod works some decent striking defense from the bottom. l missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! l stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Cod throws up his legs and catches l in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! l tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Cod! That came out of nowhere!
