Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hidehiko Sakuraba!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barkley tries to avoid it but Sakuraba manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barkley to the ground. Barkley escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Barkley shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sakuraba counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Barkley looking for a sweep. Not yet Barkley, not yet.
Barkley looking for subs off his back but Sakuraba has passed one foot through into half guard.
Barkley has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sakuraba is working away from the top position though.
Barkley is trying to get back to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barkley looking for a guillotine here but Sakuraba defends easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sakuraba accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Barkley thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Barkley is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Barkley looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Sakuraba looks gassed!

Barkley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sakuraba doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Barkley is tightening it up a little... Sakuraba has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Sakuraba reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Sakuraba taps out! nice BJJ there by Barkley!
