Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mikko Rask (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Ampil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mikko Rask! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, George Ampil! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ampil keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rask tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ampil was well out of range. Poor timing from Rask. Rask avoids the head kick by Ampil.
A punch combination from Rask misses. A slow jab from Rask misses its intended target. Ampil tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rask throws a sloppy head kick and Ampil moves out of range easily. George Ampil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ampil stuffs the takedown attempt from Rask. Rask gets slowly back to his feet. Ampil pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Ampil wants to stand but Rask has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Ampil throws a big right hand that misses. Rask is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rask is breathing heavily. Ampil thows a big elbow that misses. Ampil wants to get up but he can't break Rask's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Rask blocks a head kick by Ampil.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Nice strikes from Ampil there. Rask trying to hold on to Ampil's head to control him but Ampil postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Ampil delivers a nice body kick. Ampil lands a nice looking body kick. Rask misses with a body kick. Ampil tries a head kick but it misses.
A head kick by Ampil misses and Rask counters with a left to the body. Ampil lands with a nice body kick. Rask shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ampil as he avoids it easily. Rask blocks a head kick by Ampil.

Rask looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rask keeping moving, preventing Ampil from controlling successfully. Rask looking to control.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Rask takes a head kick and keeps coming.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rask has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Ampil. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Ampil. Rask shrugs it off though. Ampil misses with a head kick.

Ampil is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Rask has just dragged him back down to the mat. Rask goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ampil rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Rask's guard! Nice work there by Ampil! Ampil won't allow Rask to get back to his feet.

Ampil lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Ampil working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Rask's head. Ampil is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Ampil must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Rask wants to sweep but no luck. Rask manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

George Ampil showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Rask pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rask will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Ampil throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Rask tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ampil delivers a nice body kick. Ampil thows a body kick. Rask tries to catch it but that hurt him. Ampil lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Ampil scores with a three punch combo!

Rask takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ampil connects with a high kick. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rask takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Rask has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ampil finds it's way round the side to connect with Rask's head. Ampil throws a sloppy head kick and Rask moves out of range easily. Ampil lands with a kick to the temple. Rask shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Ampil. Rask shrugs it off though. Rask takes a kick to the side of the head. Rask takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Ampil bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Ampil has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ampil lands a nice forearm strike. Ampil is chipping away with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rask is looking to reverse the position. Rask is trying to control Ampil's posture but Ampil avoids it. Ampil wants to stand but Rask is controlling his arm. Rask wants to control but Ampil postures up. Rask on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Ampil landing a few strikes. Rask wants to control but Ampil postures up.

Rask looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Rask is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! George Ampil is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Rask lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rask tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Rask thowing shots but they're missing. Ampil is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Ampil is squirming around, avoiding Rask's attempts to control the action. Mikko Rask has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rask misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
And that's the end of the fight! George Ampil comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Ampil winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
