Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Bomb! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gabriel Francisco ! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bomb throws a sloppy head kick and Francisco moves out of range easily. Adam Bomb seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Francisco checks a low kick from Bomb. Bomb goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Francisco swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bomb misses with a head kick.
Francisco lands with a good body shot. Francisco uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bomb.
Bomb misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bomb tries a head kick but it misses.
Francisco bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bomb's head backwards. Bomb tries a head kick but it misses.
Bomb throws a right and a left that Francisco avoids nicely. Bomb throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Francisco . Bomb takes a jab right on the kisser.
Bomb throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Francisco connects with a jab. Bomb looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Francisco scores with a decent looking hook. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bomb misses the body punch and Francisco counters with a nice double leg into guard. Francisco is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bomb is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bomb has escaped and now he's on top! Francisco trying to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bomb avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Francisco working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bomb doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Francisco is tightening it up a little... Bomb has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Bomb reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Bomb taps out! nice BJJ there by Francisco !
