Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ran Sakamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshi Yamaguchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sakamoto might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Wu tang tiger style. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamaguchi closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sakamoto did well to prevent Yamaguchi getting side control.
Yamaguchi is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Yamaguchi is pressing down on Sakamoto's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sakamoto is holding on for now.
Yamaguchi wants to work for an arm triangle but Sakamoto is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
