Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Devon J Scarborough! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Colt Williams! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams throws a sloppy head kick and J Scarborough moves out of range easily. The fight stays on the outside here - Williams looks like he's thinking about clinching though. J Scarborough closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - J Scarborough lands in his opponent's guard. Williams is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. A short uppercut from Williams. Williams lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Devon J Scarborough has been cut. J Scarborough wants to break free but Williams has control.
Williams prevents J Scarborough from breaking the clinch. Nice elbow from Williams. J Scarborough tries to score a body lock takedown but Williams shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Williams lands on the inside with an uppercut. Williams is trying to trip J Scarborough. He has hold of a leg but J Scarborough is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Williams persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Williams preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams thows a big elbow that misses. Williams thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Williams passes J Scarborough's left leg - he's now in half guard. J Scarborough is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Williams thows a huge punch but J Scarborough dodges it nicely.
Williams winds up and cracks J Scarborough with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Williams throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Nice strikes from Williams there. J Scarborough has hold of Williams's hands but Williams slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Williams not landing any meaningful shots this time. J Scarborough is staying active underneath Williams, who seems content to just control the action from this position. J Scarborough is defending against the submission attempts here by Williams.
Williams thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed J Scarborough's head. J Scarborough might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. J Scarborough is breathing heavily. J Scarborough is refusing to be controlled, as Williams sits in half guard. J Scarborough blocking the ground and pound attempt from Williams.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Williams thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed J Scarborough's head. Williams has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Williams working away from the top, dropping strikes. J Scarborough is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams working for a guillotine from mount but J Scarborough is in no mood to give up. Williams unloading with bombs! Williams looking to control and managing it successfully. Williams lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Williams wants to finish this one by submission but J Scarborough is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Williams. Williams has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Williams looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Colt Williams dominated that round. The cut man is working on Devon J Scarborough's cut. That's time! J Scarborough's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Williams fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. J Scarborough looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Williams fails with an attempt to clinch.
Williams with a jab. Williams scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Williams seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but J Scarborough does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Williams missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Williams is trying to control. J Scarborough wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Williams throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. J Scarborough avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Williams. Ground and pound from Williams. Williams thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams controlling the action here. Williams thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed J Scarborough's head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Williams is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Williams drops an elbow to the side of J Scarborough's head. J Scarborough taking some punishment here, with Williams in his half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Williams connects with a nice short shot to J Scarborough's temple. Williams slips a nice elbow through J Scarborough's hands, connecting with J Scarborough's forehead. Williams is keen to just control but J Scarborough is a slippery customer. Well, if Williams is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for J Scarborough! Williams lands with some strikes. Williams is landing with some decent strikes but J Scarborough is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Williams looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
The referee warns J Scarborough that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Williams controlling the pace for now. Williams is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! J Scarborough is forced to tap! Great finish!
