Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bruce McGoose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ashton Bell!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGoose circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bell throws a jab when McGoose was well out of range.
Bell moves in looking to clinch but McGoose pushes him off.

McGoose scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
McGoose keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Bell pushes McGoose off looking to stand but McGoose dives back in and keeps control.

Bell looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Bell wants to control but McGoose is keeping busy.
McGoose seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bell is trying to maintain the position but McGoose is very close to passing his half guard.
Bell wants to get back to full guard.
McGoose works his foot free and advances to mount.
Bell squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
McGoose looking to control but Bell is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Bell tries to buck McGoose off but he can't manage it.
McGoose controlling the pace for now.
Bell is looking to get to half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
You get the feeling that Bell really doesn't like being in this position too much.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McGoose tries to control but Bell wriggling away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bell can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bell is in all sorts of trouble here.
Bell tries to lock up and control but McGoose gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
A nice elbow there by McGoose.
McGoose tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
McGoose can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bell is looking to escape.

McGoose is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Bell is forced to tap! Great finish!
