Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michel Pereira!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pereira sprawls well initially but Barnes persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Barnes stands up and beckons Pereira to join him on the feet.
Pereira lands a nice hook to Barnes's body. Barnes takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Barnes checks a leg kick nicely.
Pereira fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Barnes is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Pereira.
Barnes misses with a series of wild punches.
Barnes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pereira takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
This has been an exciting period of action!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Barnes accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Barnes is defended easily by Pereira.

Pereira throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Pereira is refusing to be controlled, as Barnes sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barnes prevents Pereira from improving his position.
Brock Barnes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Barnes wants to take a breather but Pereira is having none of it.
Pereira keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Barnes thows a huge punch but Pereira dodges it nicely.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Barnes trying to control the position from guard on top but Pereira is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Barnes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pereira swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Barnes decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Barnes closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Barnes lands in his opponent's guard.
Pereira not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Barnes works a leg free and moves into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barnes decides to return to a standing position.
Barnes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pereira, pushing him back against the cage.
Barnes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Barnes counters by clinching up.
Brock Barnes is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Pereira is trying to maintain a safe position but Barnes gets an underhook and turns Pereira into the cage.
And that's the end of the fight!
Brock Barnes showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Barnes, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
