Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frederik Valefar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frederik Valefar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Antonio Gonzalez! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Lou da Vinci and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Valefar keeps the fight on the outside. Valefar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gonzalez tries to avoid it but Valefar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gonzalez to the ground. Gonzalez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Valefar shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Valefar is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gonzalez is just riding it out for now. Valefar eventually gives up the hold. Valefar trying to pass the guard but Gonzalez defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Valefar seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Valefar seems to be working for a kimura but Gonzalez defends the submission attempt. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gonzalez can do anything to dispel that myth. Gonzalez wants to control but Valefar is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valefar is tying to control. Gonzalez wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Valefar seems to be looking for submissions.
Valefar is working for a kimura but Gonzalez is defending it quite comfortably.

Gonzalez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Valefar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gonzalez is looking to escape. Valefar escapes and gets back to his feet. Gonzalez gets the takedown into side control. Valefar is breathing heavily. Valefar regains half guard. Valefar gets back to full guard.
Gonzalez is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Valefar manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Valefar looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Valefar avoids the attempt from Gonzalez to control. Gonzalez is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Valefar looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Gonzalez working to try and regain half guard.
Valefar is standing up, even though he is in mount. Valefar scores a takedown into full mount! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Valefar throwing strikes here but Gonzalez is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Poor strikes thrown by Valefar there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Gonzalez blocking the ground and pound. Valefar jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Gonzalez manages to avoid the submission attempt. Valefar advances to full mount. Gonzalez tries to hold on but Valefar pushes him away. Valefar is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gonzalez can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Valefar goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Gonzalez turns into him and now he's in Valefar's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gonzalez trying to control from half guard but Valefar is working away. Valefar wants to control but Gonzalez is keeping busy.
Valefar works his way to full guard. Good work. Gonzalez has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Valefar is proving hard to escape from. Gonzalez tries to free his leg and advance position but Valefar is retaining full guard. Valefar not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gonzalez loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Valefar is looking for a triangle but Gonzalez pushes his legs off easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Valefar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Gonzalez wants to control but Valefar is keeping busy and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frederik Valefar dominated that round. That's time! Valefar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Gonzalez is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Valefar swats away the attempt to clinch by Gonzalez. Valefar misses with the combination.
Gonzalez misses with a takedown attempt and Valefar counters with a takedown into side control. Gonzalez is not content to let Valefar control the position. Gonzalez wants to control but Valefar postures up. Valefar tries to advance to mount but Gonzalez denies him. Gonzalez tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Valefar wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Valefar has an Americana. Gonzalez didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Valefar is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Valefar hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Frederik Valefar!
