Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Osuka Kasumia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Bassi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruno Bassi struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Osuka Kasumia has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bruno Bassi!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kasumia, as that shot connected.
Bassi looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Kasumia staying out of range there.
Kasumia throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Kasumia scores with a takedown into Bassi's guard.
Kasumia sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Kasumia cracks Bassi with a solid left hand.
Bassi being controlled here, momentarily.
Kasumia is in close to Bassi's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Kasumia with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Kasumia controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Kasumia drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kasumia jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Kasumia controls from within his opponent's guard.
Bassi wants to get back to his feet but Kasumia is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kasumia sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bassi's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kasumia is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Bassi is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Osuka Kasumia!
