The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Benoit shoots in for a takedown but Fimonte shows good takedown defense. Fimonte clinches up with Benoit and pushes him back against the cage. Fimonte tries to score a body lock takedown but Benoit shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Benoit gets a trip takedown into half guard. Benoit is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Fimonte has managed to free his arm - good work. Benoit passes to side control. Fimonte is looking to reverse the position. Benoit looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Fimonte really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Benoit.
