The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
kalupski looks to score with a jab to the body but Stahl is just out of range.
kalupski throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stahl.

kalupski shoots for a double leg takedown but Stahl sprawls well. He's pushed kalupski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

kalupski sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stahl doesn't manage to clinch there - kalupski circles away.

Stahl has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of kalupski's face.
