Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tim Tedmanson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bailey McIntosh! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tedmanson doesn't manage to clinch there - McIntosh circles away.
McIntosh looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Tedmanson fails with a takedown attempt. Tedmanson tries to clinch up. Tedmanson misses with a head kick.
Tedmanson shoots in for a double leg but McIntosh sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Tedmanson wants to clinch up but McIntosh keeps it at a distance. Tedmanson tries to clinch but McIntosh moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tedmanson shoots for a takedown but McIntosh saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tim Tedmanson. That's going to take a lot out of him. McIntosh avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Tedmanson lands some strikes from the bottom. Tedmanson looking for a sweep. Not yet Tedmanson, not yet. McIntosh wants to control from the top but Tedmanson keeps moving. Tedmanson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for McIntosh! Poor strikes thrown by Tedmanson there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tedmanson has control of McIntosh's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and McIntosh regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Tedmanson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McIntosh is looking to escape. McIntosh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tedmanson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tedmanson doesn't succeed with the takedown and McIntosh counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tedmanson's guard now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tedmanson tries to land a sweep but no joy. McIntosh trying to control the position from guard on top but Tedmanson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tedmanson looking to control.
McIntosh throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tedmanson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Tedmanson trying to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tedmanson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Tedmanson throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
McIntosh should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. McIntosh looking to sit in guard and control but Tedmanson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bailey McIntosh dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Tedmanson looks to clinch and McIntosh counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Tedmanson flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Tedmanson regains full guard. Nicely done. Tedmanson controls McIntosh momentarily but McIntosh frees himself. McIntosh looking to sit in guard and control but Tedmanson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Tedmanson trying to control the position from guard on top but McIntosh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McIntosh is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tedmanson wants to stand but McIntosh is controlling his posture from full guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McIntosh can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tedmanson wants to control from the top but McIntosh keeps moving.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Tedmanson with a poor takedown and McIntosh counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tedmanson won't be happy with that. Tedmanson gets back to half guard.

McIntosh looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
McIntosh wants to advance to full mount but Tedmanson doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Tedmanson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for McIntosh!
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tedmanson putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! McIntosh blocking the ground and pound. Tedmanson get's back to his feet. McIntosh takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Bailey McIntosh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

He's persisting with it as McIntosh sprawls well. McIntosh wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tedmanson gets slowly back to his feet. Tedmanson misses with a wild combination.

McIntosh stays in close to Tedmanson's body and controls the position. McIntosh drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Tedmanson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now McIntosh has Tedmanson in his guard. McIntosh looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Tedmanson has picked McIntosh up and slammed him! McIntosh can't keep hold of the triangle and Tedmanson manages to pass to side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tedmanson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The strikes coming from Tedmanson are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McIntosh tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. McIntosh is in a horrible position here. Tedmanson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Tedmanson trying to control but McIntosh is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tedmanson scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tedmanson thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Tim Tedmanson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bailey McIntosh is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Tedmanson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, McIntosh has managed to escape the submission attempt.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tim Tedmanson. Well McIntosh has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
