The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Su han showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tanahasi.
Tanahasi swats away the attempt to clinch by Su han.
Su han doesn't manage to clinch there - Tanahasi circles away.
Su han tries to clinch there but Tanahasi circles away.
Su han tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tanahasi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Tanahasi shoots in looking for a takedown. Su han tries to sprawl out of it but Tanahasi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Su han manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
No joy there for Tanahasi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tanahasi misses with a jab, cross combination.
Su han takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Su han clinches.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Su han obliges.
Tanahasi tries to circle away but Su han has him pinned against the cage.

Tanahasi takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Koji Tanahasi has been cut.
Su han misses with an elbow strike.
Tanahasi takes an elbow to the forehead.
Su han comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Tanahasi digs a right hand underneath Su han's ribcage. Su han let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Su han unloads a knee to the mid-section. Tanahasi lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tanahasi creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Tanahasi is trying to stall.
Tanahasi tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Tanahasi digs a right hand underneath Su han's ribcage. Su han let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Tanahasi goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Tanahasi is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jeez, Koji Tanahasi's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
