Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stepan Babka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leif Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson has chosen Black Star Deceiver as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stepan Babka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Leif Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Sergei Dronov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson tries to clinch but Babka moves out of range.
Babka tries a head kick but it misses.
Anderson looks for a takedown but Babka sprawls well.

Leif Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Anderson is trying desperately to land a takedown but Babka is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Anderson.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Anderson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Babka - the referee stops the clock and Anderson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Babka. Anderson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Anderson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Babka is trying to defend but Anderson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Babka is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Anderson asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Leif Anderson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Anderson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Babka sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Anderson moves in looking to clinch but Babka pushes him off.
Anderson throws a solid leg kick but Babka takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Anderson.

Anderson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Anderson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
