The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Ferguson.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Ferguson stands up.
Valdez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ferguson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Ferguson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Valdez's efforts to push away.
Valdez wants to break the clinch but can't.
Valdez is trying to break the clinch but Ferguson has him pressed against the ropes.
Valdez wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Ferguson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
No joy there for Valdez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Valdez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Valdez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ferguson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Valdez lands a left and a right that send Ferguson crashing to the mat, dazed. Valdez thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Kevin Ferguson has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Valdez is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Ferguson hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
