Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ellis Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jax Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ellis Stone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jax Smith! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Stone as Smith shoots in. Stone doesn't manage to clinch there - Smith circles away.
Smith misses with a jab, cross combination.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Smith breaks from the clinch.
Smith tries a head kick but it misses.
Smith fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stone manages to avoid it. Smith fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Smith feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Smith wants to stand and escape but instead Stone has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Stone prevents Smith from getting back to his feet. Stone is working Smith over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Stone controls from within his opponent's guard. Stone won't allow Smith to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone throwing strikes from guard but Smith blocks nicely. Stone stays in close to Smith's body and controls the position. Stone looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stone has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Stone landing some decent shots from guard. Smith seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Stone forces his way into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Smith is trying to stand back up but Stone is controlling him
Smith looks gassed! Smith wants to get back to full guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Stone lands a nice short elbow. Stone looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Smith is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Stone scores with a couple of nice shots. Stone is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Stone is nestled in close to Smith, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Stone stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Stone throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Smith was covering up waiting for the punch and Stone finishes the takedown easily into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Stone not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Stone gets to his feet - Smith follows without any prompting. Stone throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Jax Smith has been cut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stone throws a right and a left that Smith avoids nicely. Stone closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Stone blocks a body shot from Smith. Smith tries a body shot but Stone blocks it.
Stone's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Smith with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Stone to score with a decent uppercut. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Stone, right into the meat.
Stone looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stone controlling the pace. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Stone slips a nice elbow through Smith's hands, connecting with Smith's forehead. Smith trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Stone scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Smith?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ellis Stone dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jax Smith's cut. That's time! Stone's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Smith gets caught flat footed, as Stone shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Stone is pushing down on Smith's leg trying to pass to half guard. Smith is fighting to maintain full guard but Stone has managed to sneak the leg through. Stone controlling the pace. Stone has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Stone moves into full mount! Smith won't be happy about that! Stone is landing with some decent strikes but Smith is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Smith wants to hold on but Stone pushes him away. Smith is breathing heavily. Smith is looking to get to half guard. Stone content just to control the position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Stone scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Stone takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Stone has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Smith is forced to tap!
