Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Amik Galvao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Galvao might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Motorhead "I don't believe a word". Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peters just misses with a punch to the body.
Peters is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Galvao's half guard. Galvao is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Galvao manages to get to full guard.
Peters is stalling in the full guard. Peters throws and elbow that misses. Galvao uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Peters's guard. Nice move by Galvao! Peters looking for a sweep. Not yet Peters, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Galvao drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Galvao jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Peters really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Galvao. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Peters thows a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peters postures up and lands a big shot to Galvao's brow. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Peters accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Peters with a nice head shot there. Galvao keeping moving, preventing Peters from controlling successfully. Galvao avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Galvao tries to land a sweep but no joy. Peters is in close to Galvao's body, working some short punches and elbows. Galvao is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Peters makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Peters.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peters wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Peters looking to hit a scissor sweep but Galvao is one step ahead there. Peters manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Peters jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Galvao is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Galvao and Peters has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peters is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Galvao is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Peters working the head and body with strikes. Galvao manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Galvao blocking the ground and pound attempt from Peters. Galvao wants to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Galvao has his takedown stuffed and Peters counters with a takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Galvao is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Peters working the ground and pound. Galvao tries to improve position but can't. Galvao sneaks back into half guard. Peters looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Peters scoring with strikes to the body and head. Nice strikes from Peters there. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Galvao is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Peters scores with a couple of nice shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peters is just content to waste time from the top position. Galvao takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Peters trying to control but Galvao is working from the bottom. Peters makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Jason Peters has got the better of the ground game so far. Peters is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Peters looking to sit in guard and control but Galvao gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Peters is pulling down on Galvao's head. It's preventing any offense from Galvao, at least for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jason Peters showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Peters controlling the pace. Galvao moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Galvao wants to sweep but no luck. Peters has gone for a leg lock! Galvao slips out almost immediately though and dives into Peters's guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Peters can do anything to dispel that myth. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Peters is on top in guard.

He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Peters preventing the sweep. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Peters sitting in guard here, content to control. Galvao manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Galvao goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Peters is on top in guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Jason Peters comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Peters has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
