Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Thorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Cartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thorn comes to the cage accompanied by Thunder Kiss '65. Eric Cartman told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thorn manages to avoid it.
Cartman cracks Thorn with a good jab.
Cartman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cartman.
Eric Cartman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cartman swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cartman throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Thorn doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Cartman counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cartman.
Cartman wants to control from the top but Thorn keeps moving.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Cartman's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Cartman postures up in Thorn's guard and throws a big left but Thorn blocks it.

Cartman looking to sit in guard and control but Thorn gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Thorn drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cartman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Thorn has Cartman in his guard.
Thorn avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cartmanis looking to pass into half guard but Thorn pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Thorn is in guard.
Cartman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Cartman thows a huge punch but Thorn dodges it nicely.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cartman connects with a nice short shot to Thorn's temple.
Cartman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Thorn's head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Cartman lands a nice short elbow.
Thorn is refusing to be controlled, as Cartman sits in half guard.
Thorn on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Cartman moves into full mount! Thorn won't be happy about that!
Cartman has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Thorn's face.
Cartman is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Thorn is rocked!
Cartman lands a nice shot to the head.
Oh Thorn is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cartman breaks from Thorn's wrist control and lands an elbow.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cartman lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Thorn! Cartman sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Thorn and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Eric Cartman!
