PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bushido Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ares Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes into the arena with Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros - Home blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bushido Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Brown looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Summers takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Summers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Summers landing strikes from the mount and Brown is in trouble!
Brown wants to hold on but Summers pushes him away.
Brown tries to reverse the position but Summers maintains control.
Summers can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Brown is looking to escape.

Summers looking for a guillotine from mount but Brown is having none of it.
Summers trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Brown knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Summers on the ground.
Poor strikes thrown by Summers there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Brown is looking to improve his position but Summers isn't that keen on the idea.

Summers tries to control but Brown wriggling away.
Brown is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Brown is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Summers controlling from mount.

Summers has control of Brown's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Brown regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Summers looking for a guillotine from mount but Brown is having none of it.
Brown tries to lock up and control but Summers gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Summers lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Summers looking to isolate an arm here. Brown doesn't see it coming and as Summers extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Summers!
