Jhonsson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Machida. That did some damage!

Jhonsson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Machida had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jhonsson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Machida Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jhonsson's back instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Machida seems to be working for a kimura but Jhonsson defends the submission attempt.
