Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Grande (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Fredrickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grande comes to the cage accompanied by I Drove All Night. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grande shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fredrickson pinned against the cage. Fredrickson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Fredrickson shoots in and drives through. Grande sprawls well.
Grande bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Grande remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Grande's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Fredrickson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Grande. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fredrickson can do anything to dispel that myth.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jacques Grande will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Grande, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
