Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ydgard Baner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ydgard Baner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Johnson! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baner shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Baner was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Johnson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Baner tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Johnson tries to lock up and control but Baner gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Johnson regains half guard. Baner blocks the strikes from Johnson.
Johnson pushes Baner off looking to stand but Baner dives back in and keeps control.
Baner stands up out of the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Some wild striking there from Baner.
Johnson shoots in but Baner avoids the takedown attempt easily. Baner tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Johnson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Baner tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Baner swings for the body but Johnson moves out of range.
Baner throws a right and a left that both miss. Baner misses with a series of wild punches.
Johnson looks for a takedown but Baner sprawls well. Ydgard Baner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andy Johnson. Left hook, right uppercut from Baner. Baner shoots in for a double leg but Johnson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Andy Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Baner is breathing heavily. Johnson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Johnson checks a low kick from Baner.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baner closes the distance and lands a one-two. Baner forces Johnson back against the cage and clinches. Johnson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Baner is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Baner escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Baner takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Baner throws a combination. Johnson tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Baner clinches with his opponent.
Johnson pulls guard effortlessly. Baner might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Johnson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Baner gets to his feet. Johnson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Johnson moves into the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Johnson looking to slow down the pace here. Johnson leaning his opponent against the cage. That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson unloads a knee to the mid-section. Baner lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Johnson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Baner clinches but Johnson breaks the clinch and Johnson counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Baner throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Baner misses with a double jab.
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch but Baner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Johnson misses with a few strikes there.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Baner as he avoids it easily. Baner lands with a nice combination. Johnson backs away looking to recover. Johnson lands a nice leg kick that just misses Baner's sensitive parts. Johnson tries to clinch but Baner is having none of it. Baner misses with a few strikes there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson is looking to clinch but Baner is avoiding it.

It looks like Ydgard Baner has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Johnson looks for a takedown but Baner sprawls well. Baner scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Johnson doesn't seem bothered though. Baner throws a series of punches but Johnson avoids them all with ease. Baner dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Baner misses with a two punch combination.
Johnson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Andy Johnson has been cut. Johnson on the wrong end of a nice hook. Baner throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Johnson has his takedown stuffed and Baner counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Baner gets underhooks to prevent Johnson's takedown attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Baner is trying to break free. Baner is pressed up against the cage. Johnson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Baner down to the mat. Baner avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Baner swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Johnson counters with a crisp right that sends Baner to the canvas! Johnson follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andy Johnson!
