The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mathisen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bravo circles away.
Bravo fails to land with a series of punches.
Mathisen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bravo to the mat! Bravo manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bravo wants to stand up but Mathisen is controlling him.
Bravo has control of Mathisen's left arm, preventing Mathisen from doing any damage.
Bravo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bravo tries to get out of the position.

Mathisen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bravo as he avoids it easily.

Bravo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Bravo darts in and clinches Mathisen up against the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Bravo.
Mathisen has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bravo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Bravo manages to break the clinch.

Mathisen tries to keep at a distance but Bravo has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bravo works on Mathisen's body with a couple of short punches.

Mathisen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bravo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mathisen has managed to get both his arms back between Bravo's legs - danger averted.
