Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jethro Walrustitty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Hugo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hugo is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Yvan & Dan Daniel - Enjoy The Silence. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jethro Walrustitty! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Victor Hugo! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hugo throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Walrustitty on the side of the head. Walrustitty has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Victor Hugo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hugo misses with a series of wild punches.
Hugo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Walrustitty circles away quickly and effectively. Hugo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Walrustitty moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Walrustitty feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Walrustitty trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Walrustitty is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Walrustitty passes Hugo's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Hugo won't allow Walrustitty to pass to mount. Walrustitty controlling the action here. Walrustitty wants to pass to mount but Hugo is defending the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hugo is looking for a sweep. Walrustitty is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hugo is staying active underneath Walrustitty, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Walrustitty is looking to advance position but Hugo won't allow it. Hugo is refusing to be controlled, as Walrustitty sits in half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hugo throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Walrustitty fails in his attempt to clinch. Hugo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Walrustitty darts in and clinches Hugo up against the cage. Hugo wants to break free but Walrustitty has control.
Hugo tries a body shot but Walrustitty blocks it.
Walrustitty scores with a knee to the head.
Walrustitty pulls guard effortlessly. Hugo trying to control but Walrustitty is working from the bottom. Walrustitty looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Walrustitty throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Walrustitty keeping moving, preventing Hugo from controlling successfully. Walrustitty has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hugo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hugo throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walrustitty is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hugo wants to control from the top but Walrustitty keeps moving. Hugo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Walrustitty looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hugo is one step ahead there. Walrustitty is trying to keep Hugo in close.
Walrustitty tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Walrustitty pulls Hugo in close to prevent any damage. Hugo content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Walrustitty has locked up a guillotine! Walrustitty's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Hugo is holding on here and Walrustitty must be using up a lot of energy. Hugo has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Walrustitty gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
