Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Raiser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tony Raiser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Alves!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Raiser dives in and grabs Alves's left leg, looking for a takedown. Alves pushes down on Raiser's head and hops out.
Tony Raiser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Raiser looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Alves is fending him off so far but Raiser persists. Nope, Alves circles away and we're back to standing.
Alves leaves Raiser with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tony Raiser. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Alves closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Alves is working for a kimura but Raiser is defending it quite comfortably.

Alves is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Raiser doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Alves.
Raiser knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alves on the ground.

Alves is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Alves is working for a kimura but Raiser is defending it quite comfortably.
Raiser on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Raiser tries to get out of the position.
Alves is keen to just control but Raiser is a slippery customer.

Alves is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Alves is looking for a kimura here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Raiser blocking the ground and pound attempt from Alves.
Raiser is looking to control Alves's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Raiser avoid being mounted?
Raiser tries to kick Alves off but Alves keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Alves sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Raiser defending well though.
Raiser on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Raiser is trying to stand back up but Alves is controlling him

Raiser is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Alves is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Raiser is trying to get back to full guard.
Alves thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Alves trying to mount his opponent but Raiser defends it.
Raiser wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Raiser throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Raiser shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Alves counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Raiser is working for takedown but Alves is calmly controlling the position for now.

Alves jumps guard and drags Raiser to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Alves working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Raiser.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Raiser avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Raiser thows a big elbow that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Antonio Alves dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Raiser shoots and misses
and Alves counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Raiser shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Alves counters with a straight right hand.
Raiser misses with the combination.
Alves scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Raiser looks for the body kick but Alves saw that one coming.
Raiser tries to clinch

and Alves counters with a nice double leg into side control. Raiser won't be happy with that.
Alves looks up at the clock and then as Raiser takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Alves smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Alves cracks Raiser with a big elbow.

Alves has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Raiser is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Alves yanks on the arm and Raiser is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Alves.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Antonio Alves!
