PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Karim Chamakh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steffen Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chamakh comes to the cage accompanied by Linda Sundblad - To All My Girls. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Steffen Hansen!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansen scores with a decent looking hook.


It looks like Karim Chamakh has been cut.
Hansen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hansen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Chamakh changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hansen tries to avoid it but Chamakh manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hansen to the ground. Hansen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hansen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chamakh, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
