Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mac Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ahbar Chicouh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chicouh is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sandstorm. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chicouh will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Day drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Day wants to control from the top but Chicouh keeps moving.
Day throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Chicouh can do anything to dispel that myth.

Day darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Day is pressing down on Chicouh's thigh, looking to free his foot. Chicouh is holding on for now.

Chicouh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Day. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Day tries to free his leg and advance position but Chicouh is retaining full guard.

Chicouh is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Day is controlling him.

Day wants to control from the top but Chicouh keeps moving.

Chicouh tries to bum rush Day with a series of wild strikes but Day uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Day shoots in for a double leg but Chicouh sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Chicouh throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ahbar Chicouh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Day clinches.
Chicouh wants to get back to striking at distance but Day won't allow it.
Day is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Chicouh can't fight it off and eventually Day manages to take the fight to the floor. Chicouh looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Day drops back, looking for a kneebar! Chicouh looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Chicouh looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Chicouh!

Day tries to improve position but can't.
Day manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Chicouh is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Day thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Chicouh's head.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Day showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Chicouh.
Day throws a nice looking combination but Chicouh bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Chicouh swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Day counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mac Day dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Day will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Day throws a hook to the side of Chicouh's head but Chicouh sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Day fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Chicouh looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Chicouh misses with a combination
and Day counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Day closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Day breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Day keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Chicouh misses with a double jab
and Day connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Day closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Day in side control, just content to control the action for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Day tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Chicouh is trying to get back to half guard.
Day wants to control but Chicouh is keeping him busy.
Day throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Chicouh wants to control but Day postures up.
Day wants to control but Chicouh is keeping him busy.
Day looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Day trying to control the action but Chicouh is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The strikes coming from Day are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Day tries to advance to mount but Chicouh denies him.
Day has hold of Chicouh's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Chicouh tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Day cranks the arm and Chicouh screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Chicouh, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
