Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Stone!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stone shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Stone showed some decent athleticism there.
Stone prevents Garcia from improving his position.
Garcia is working hard here to advance position.
Stone missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Stone takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Garcia tries to roll over but Stone keeps him under control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Stone darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Garcia has the hooks in. Stone is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Garcia is looking for a choke. Stone gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Stone manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Garcia is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Garcia is pulling down on Stone's head to control his posture.

Garcia has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stone can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Garcia will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Stone is nestled in close to Garcia, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Stone drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Garcia manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Stone has Garcia in his guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Garcia goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Stone rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Garcia's guard! Nice work there by Stone!

Stone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Garcia swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stone works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Stone is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Garcia is just riding it out for now. Stone eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Garcia is defending against the submission attempts here by Stone.
Stone tries to pass the half guard into mount. Garcia knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Garcia is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Garcia wants to control but Stone is keeping busy and won't allow it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Stone shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Garcia counters with a nice double leg into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Adam Stone will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Garcia goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Stone has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Garcia but great work by Stone.

Stone slips a nice elbow through Garcia's hands, connecting with Garcia's forehead.

Stone is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Garcia's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Garcia's back!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Stone is not going to allow Garcia to sit and survive in this position.
Garcia tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Garcia is controlling an arm, preventing Stone from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Stone avoids the attempt from Garcia to control.
Garcia is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position.
