Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Towel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andrei Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jimmy Towel! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Towel wants to clinch. Towel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Towel closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Silva tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Towel is trying to control the action in half guard but Silva is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Silva makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Silva. Silva really is a fat lump. Silva trying to strike off his back.
Silva is adopting a defensive guard. Silva tries to land a sweep but no joy. Silva keeping moving, preventing Towel from controlling successfully. Silva pulls Towel in to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva is trying to control the position but Towel postures up. Silva might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Silva keeping moving, preventing Towel from controlling successfully. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. No luck for Towel with that takedown attempt. Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Towel looks gassed! Silva looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Towel is trying desperately to improve position. Silva working Towel over with strikes here.

Towel taking shots to the head. Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Towel on the ground. Silva goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Towel is on top in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Towel seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Towel is one step ahead there. Towel trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom. Towel is in close to Silva's body, working some short punches and elbows. Silva is trying to keep Towel in close.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Silva is trying to control the position but Towel postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Towel tries to free his leg and advance position but Silva is retaining full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. No luck with that takedown attempt from Silva. Towel has a takedown stuffed. Jimmy Towel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Towel sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Towel throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
Silva closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Towel did well to prevent Silva getting side control. Silva thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Towel's head. Towel is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Towel is not content to let Silva control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrei Silva dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Silva shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Towel is trying to defend but Silva finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Towel is defending against the submission attempts here by Silva.

That's one minute gone in the round. Silva wants to control from the top but Towel keeps moving. Silva loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Towel is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Silva is controlling him. Silva slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Towel controls Silva momentarily but Silva frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Towel looking for a sweep. Not yet Towel, not yet. Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Towel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Silva is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Silva shoots in for a takedown but Towel shows good takedown defense. Andrei Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Silva showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Towel.
Towel tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Towel tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Towel to the ground. Towel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Towel lands with a nice combination. Silva backs away looking to recover. Silva keeps the fight on the outside.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Silva in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Silva working away. Silva is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Towel is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Towel takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Towel is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Silva trying to control but Towel is having none of it. Silva looking to finish with strikes here!

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Silva fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Silva pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Towel blocking the ground and pound. Silva punishing his opponent with strikes. Towel tries to hold on but Silva pushes him away. Silva lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Towel is bucking up trying to escape but Silva cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Towel working to try and regain half guard.
Towel bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Towel trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva looking for a sweep. Not yet Silva, not yet. Silva trying to keep a closed guard but Towel is proving a slippery customer.
Towel drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Silva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Towel has Silva in his guard. Towel trying to keep a closed guard but Silva is proving a slippery customer.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Silva postures up.
Towel might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Silva kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Towel wants to stand up but Silva is controlling him. Towel escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Silva distracts Towel with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
And that's the end of the fight! Andrei Silva showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Silva, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
