Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pat Mycock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Abdul AlHaddin! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mycock misses with a double jab.
Mycock wants to slow AlHaddin down by chopping away at his legs. AlHaddin shoots in for a takedown but Mycock shows good takedown defense. AlHaddin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mycock is fending him off so far but AlHaddin persists. Nope, Mycock circles away and we're back to standing. Mycock looks to land a body kick but AlHaddin moved away. A telegraphed takedown attempt from AlHaddin is defended easily by Mycock. Pat Mycock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abdul AlHaddin. Mycock looks to land a body kick but AlHaddin moved away. AlHaddin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. AlHaddin drives through with a takedown into guard. Mycock bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in AlHaddin's guard. AlHaddin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mycock defends well. Mycock is breathing heavily. Mycock lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. AlHaddin looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Mycock passes into half guard.
AlHaddin gets full guard. AlHaddin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mycock got a little sloppy there for a moment and AlHaddin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mycock has managed to get both his arms back between AlHaddin's legs - danger averted. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mycock accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Mycock has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Mycock stands up and waves to AlHaddin to follow him. AlHaddin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
AlHaddin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mycock did well to prevent AlHaddin getting side control. Mycock punching from the bottom.
AlHaddin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mycock defends it well. AlHaddin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mycock doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time AlHaddin. Mycock wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Mycock manages to get to full guard.
AlHaddin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. AlHaddin sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mycock's guard. AlHaddin seems to be looking for submissions.
AlHaddin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mycock defends it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. AlHaddin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

AlHaddin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mycock is just riding it out for now. AlHaddin eventually gives up the hold. AlHaddin has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Mycock defend it? AlHaddin steps over the head and cranks it - Mycock is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for AlHaddin!
