Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Echo Echo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Jackson! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson fails to land with a series of punches.
Echo takes the fight into the clinch. Echo is working for takedown but Jackson is calmly controlling the position for now. Jackson wants to break free but Echo has control.
Jackson lands a right hand that snaps the head of Echo backwards. A right hand to the body from Jackson.
Jackson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Echo Echo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Echo swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jackson counters with a body kick. Jackson throws a right and a left that Echo avoids nicely. Echo throws a series of punches but Jackson avoids them all with ease. Echo works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Echo doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jackson counters with a series of strikes. Echo will be more careful next time no doubt. Jackson drives through and clinches with Echo against the cage.
Echo has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jackson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Echo Echo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jackson is working Echo over against the cage. Echo has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jackson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Echo is breathing heavily. Echo letting Jackson take a breather here. Jackson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Echo with a lazy takedown attempt and Jackson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Jackson throws a head kick that Echo semi-blocks.
Echo stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jackson. Danga de danga de dang - Echo scores with a four punch combination! Jackson catches Echo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Echo throws a looping overhand right but Jackson ducks down to avoid it. Jackson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Jackson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Echo is defending against the submission attempts here by Jackson.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Well, if Jackson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's two minutes gone in the round. It looks like Jackson is going to stand back up.
Echo misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Jackson stands up out of the half guard. Echo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Jackson counters with a single leg into guard. Echo didn't expect that. Jackson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Echo, up you get! Jackson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Echo did well to prevent Jackson getting side control. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Echo is looking for a sweep. Jackson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Echo works his way to full guard. Good work. Jackson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Echo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jackson has managed to get both his arms back between Echo's legs - danger averted. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson looking to pass the guard. Jackson trying to control but Echo is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Echo working for a triangle but Jackson defends it easily.
Echo has his feet on Jackson's thighs here. He's pushed Jackson off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Jackson screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
