Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dixon Cox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Get Back (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Back comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Guile theme :D kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Dixon Cox has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dixon Cox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Get Back! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Back tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Cox closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Back to the mat! Back manages to get full guard. Cox controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Cox throwing strikes but missing. Back is trying to control the position but Cox postures up. Cox stands up over Back, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Cox is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Cox stays in close to Back's body and controls the position. Cox drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cox jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Cox postures up.
Cox wants to control from the top but Back keeps moving. Cox looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cox trying to control the position from guard on top but Back is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cox looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Cox wants to control from the top but Back keeps moving.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Cox tries a low kick but Back avoids it. Cox bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Back is not content to let Cox control the position. Back is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cox connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Back some visible discomfort.
Cox working the head and body with strikes. Cox looks up at the clock and then as Back takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Cox smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Cox is working to tighten is grip on Back's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Back has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Cox is really squeezing tight and eventually Back passes out! Cox breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Dixon Cox!
