Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Malians (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kiett Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Malians might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Right Now - Van Halen. Kiett Li has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kiett Li!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Columbo Gatti and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Li shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Malians as he avoids it easily.
Malians fails with an attempt to clinch.
Malians tries to clinch but Li moves out of range.
Li feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Li throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Malians works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Malians's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That was a close round but I would say that Matt Malians will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Li counters with a nice double leg into side control. Malians won't be happy with that.
Li is looking to take a break and control but Malians is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
