Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Giuseppe Gabrielli!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Klaus Wulf!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wulf displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gabrielli throws out the jab.

The fight stays on the outside here - Wulf looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gabrielli connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Wulf's hands.

Klaus Wulf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gabrielli throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

and Gabrielli counters with a good low kick that Wulf was not able to check.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Some bone on bone action there as Wulf checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Gabrielli throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wulf.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looks like Klaus Wulf has been cut.

Giuseppe Gabrielli is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wulf takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Wulf takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Gabrielli feints and then cracks Wulf's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Wulf down.

Gabrielli stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

and Gabrielli counters with a crisp one two that drops Wulf! Gabrielli thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Wulf to his feet! Wulf is in big trouble!
Wulf is still on wobbly legs! Can Gabrielli finish him?
Gabrielli is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Wulf might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Gabrielli has got the better of the exchanges.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Wulf is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
