The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
silva stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and silva wants it to stay on the feet.
silva bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps StMarx's head backwards.
silva clinches with his opponent.
silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.
StMarx avoids a punch combination nicely.
StMarx wants to clinch but silva slips to the side
and silva counters with a big head kick but StMarx shrugs it off.

StMarx feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

StMarx shoots in looking for a takedown. silva tries to sprawl out of it but StMarx keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

He's looking for a kimura. silva seems comfortable defending it but StMarx has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! silva is real pain and he's forced to tap out! silva is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but StMarx couldn't care less - he's delighted!
