Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alex Cabrera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Henry Fisher!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cabrera doesn't manage to clinch there - Fisher circles away.
Fisher pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cabrera throws an overhand right that lands on Fisher's shoulder, as Fisher tries to avoid the shot.
Cabrera moves in looking to clinch but Fisher pushes him off.
Fisher tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cabrera paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cabrera throws a series of punches but Fisher moves out of range.
Cabrera blocks a head kick by Fisher.

Cabrera closes the distance and clinches.

Fisher ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fisher no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Fisher is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cabrera is controlling him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Cabrera is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Fisher sees it coming and defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cabrera throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Cabrera seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Fisher is trying to control but can't.
Cabrera takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Fisher gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Cabrera counters with a shoot takedown. Fisher fights it but they end up in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fisher is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cabrera defends well.

Fisher is looking to regain half guard here but Cabrera keeps moving and retains side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fisher looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

That's time! Cabrera's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Fisher gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cabrera to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Cabrera closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fisher to the mat! Fisher manages to get full guard.
Cabrera postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Fisher pulls Cabrera in close to prevent any damage.

Cabrera gets to his feet. Fisher looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Cabrera. Fisher shrugs it off though.
Cabrera tries a head kick but it misses.

Cabrera content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Fisher pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Fisher wants to control but Cabrera is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Cabrera is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fisher is just riding it out for now. Cabrera eventually gives up the hold.

Fisher is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cabrera pulls his head out easily.
Fisher is looking for a sweep. Cabrera is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Cabrera looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Fisher is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cabrera pulls his head out easily.
Fisher has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cabrera is working away from the top position though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Cabrera closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fisher is trying to maintain the position but Cabrera is very close to passing his half guard.

Fisher is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cabrera pulls his head out easily.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Cabrera takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Fisher has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Cabrera regains guard immediately.
