Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bernard Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mack might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Shadow Dancing. The crowd seem to be enjoying Torres's choice of entrance music: The Way Of The Fist. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bernard Mack! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Torres! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Torres blocks a head kick by Mack.
Torres getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Torres looks to score with a jab to the body but Mack is just out of range. Mack motions for Torres to come forward. Mack throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Mack fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Torres avoids it really well and circles away. Mack feints and as Torres raises his hands in defense, Mack changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Mack stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Torres swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mack throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Torres is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mack is controlling him. Torres utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mack scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Torres keeping moving, preventing Mack from controlling successfully. Torres keeping full guard, as Mack tries to pass. Mack cracks Torres with a solid left hand. Mack thows a big elbow that misses. Torres really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mack. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Torres keeping moving, preventing Mack from controlling successfully. Mack is looking to work some ground and pound but Torres has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mack is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mack throwing strikes but missing. Mack trying to control the position from guard on top but Torres is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mack is looking to work some ground and pound but Torres has wrist control. Mack throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Mack keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Torres's head. Mack pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Torres is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Torres avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Mack throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Torres avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Mack working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Mack is standing up over Torres. Torres looks to escape but Mack dives into side control.
Mack landing a few strikes. Mack is looking to take a break and control but Torres is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mack working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Torres dodges the ground and pound from Mack. Mack wants to control but Torres is keeping him busy. Mack misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Mack trying to control the position but Torres is working away. Mack passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Torres! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bernard Mack dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Mack feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Torres's calf. Mack darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Torres avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mack. Mack uses his free foot to push down on Torres's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Torres. Mack unloading with bombs! Poor strikes thrown by Mack there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Mack landing punches. Torres is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mack is in the full mount, landing strikes. Mack unloading with bombs!
Torres is rocked! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Torres can do anything to dispel that myth. Mack lands with some strikes. Mack lands a big elbow - Torres is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Torres is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Bernard Mack!
