The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bravo looks to land a left hand but Barker moved out of range nicely. Bravo fails with a takedown attempt. Bravo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bravo on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Bravo cracks Barker with an open hand slap. Barker tries to clinch up. Barker clinches up with Bravo and pushes him back against the cage. Barker avoiding damage.
Bravo tries to pull guard but Barker won't allow it.
Bravo jumps guard.
Bravo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Barker has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Barker drops back looking for a leg! Bravo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bravo manages to kick Barker off! Barker jumps back into Bravo's guard. Barker missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Barker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Barker drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Barker jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Barker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bravo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Barker won't allow Bravo to sweep him here. Barker postures up in Bravo's guard and throws a big left but Bravo blocks it. Barker postures up in Bravo's guard and throws a big left but Bravo blocks it. Barker working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bravo's head. Barker thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Barker's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Bravo keeping moving, preventing Barker from controlling successfully.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Barker is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barker looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Bravo darts in trying to clinch and Barker counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Bravo shoots in and bounces Barker off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Bravo stands up over Barker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Barker trying to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bravo throwing strikes from guard but Barker blocks nicely. Bravo pushes down on Barker's leg and manages to get into half guard. Bravo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Sam Bravo dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Bravo closes the distance looking to clinch and Barker moves into the clinch. A battle for position here, against the cage. Barker pulls guard effortlessly. Barker preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Bravo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Barker works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Barker keeping full guard, as Bravo tries to pass. Bravo stops Barker from standing up. Bravo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bravo working some strikes from top position. Bravo thows a big elbow that misses. Bravo stands up over Barker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Barker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Barker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bravo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bravo in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Bravo working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Bravo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Barker is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bravo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Barker is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Barker has escaped and now he's on top! Bravo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Barker! Barker wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Bravo.
Barker somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! Barker tries to clinch there but Bravo circles away.

Barker is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Barker goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Barker lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Bravo gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bravo changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Barker fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Travis Barker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Bravo. Barker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bravo moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bravo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Barker moves away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
