Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bob Slaughter! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scotch Tape closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Scotch Tape lands in his opponent's guard. Scotch Tape stops Slaughter from standing up. Scotch Tape thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Slaughter wants to stand up but Scotch Tape is controlling him. Scotch Tape pushes down on Slaughter's leg and manages to get into half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Slaughter can do anything to dispel that myth. Scotch Tape seems to be looking for submissions.
Scotch Tape is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Scotch Tape wants to free his trapped foot but Slaughter is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slaughter is looking to escape. Scotch Tape is working for a submission of some sort.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Slaughter wants to get back to full guard. Slaughter is defending against the submission attempts here by Scotch Tape.
Scotch Tape passes to full mount! Scotch Tape moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Slaughter has worked his arm free - good work by Slaughter!
Scotch Tape blocks the strikes from Slaughter.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scotch Tape working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slaughter wants to control but Scotch Tape postures up. Slaughter tries to strike but it doesn't land. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Slaughter is trying to buck Scotch Tape off. Scotch Tape tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Scotch Tape has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Scotch Tape is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Slaughter knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slaughter is pushing Scotch Tape's head away, looking to escape. Scotch Tape manages to hold on to the position though. Scotch Tape has hold of Slaughter's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Slaughter tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Scotch Tape cranks the arm and Slaughter screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Slaughter, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Rodent Scotch Tape!
