The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colston tries to score with a low kick but Vargas moves his leg out of the way.
Vargas looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Vargas fails with a takedown attempt.
Colston checks a leg kick.
Colston lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vargas circles away quickly and effectively.
Vargas misses with a takedown attempt - Colston sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Raleigh Colston has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Enrique Vargas.
Vargas lands with a hook. Colston tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Colston darts in and clinches Vargas up against the cage.

Vargas shoots in for a double leg but Colston sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Vargas throws a looping overhand right but Colston ducks down to avoid it.
Vargas shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Colston sprawls well. Colston wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vargas gets slowly back to his feet.
Vargas tries for a takedown but Colston sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Colston stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Colston throws a series of strikes that have Vargas backpedaling.

Colston misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Colston scores with a crisp jab that stopped Vargas in his tracks.
Vargas clinches but Colston breaks the clinch

and Colston counters with a left and a right that hurts Vargas! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Colston jumps into full mount!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Colston cracks Vargas with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
