Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mika Hankaniemi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Byson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hankaniemi comes to the cage accompanied by Cannibal Corpse - Make Them Suffer. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Byson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hankaniemi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Byson throws a nice looking combination but Hankaniemi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nice takedown defense from Byson. No joy for Hankaniemi on that attempt.
Hankaniemi looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Byson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hankaniemi prevents Byson from improving his position.
Hankaniemi is working for an americana but Byson has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Hankaniemi was thinking about the submission.
Hankaniemi drops back looking for a leg! Byson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Byson manages to kick Hankaniemi off! Hankaniemi jumps back into Byson's guard.
Hankaniemi is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Byson looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hankaniemi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Byson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Byson has control of Hankaniemi's left arm, preventing Hankaniemi from doing any damage.
Byson is looking to stand up but Hankaniemi isn't so interested in that idea.
Hankaniemi has gone for a leg lock! Byson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hankaniemi's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Byson stands up out of the half guard.
Hankaniemi dives in and grabs Byson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Byson pushes down on Hankaniemi's head and hops out.
Mika Hankaniemi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hankaniemi has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mika Hankaniemi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hankaniemi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Byson, as that shot connected.
Hankaniemi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Byson avoids it really well and circles away.
Hankaniemi shoots for a takedown but Byson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hankaniemi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Byson tries to avoid it but Hankaniemi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Byson to the ground. Byson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

It looks like Mika Hankaniemi has been cut.

Byson throws a series of punches but Hankaniemi moves out of range.
Byson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Byson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hankaniemi takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Byson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Byson looks to land a combination. Hankaniemi sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
A punch lands to the side of Hankaniemi 's head but he takes it in his stride.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Byson throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Hankaniemi is rocked!
Byson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hankaniemi circles away quickly and effectively.
Byson throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Hankaniemi stumbling backwards into the cage! Hankaniemi bounces back off the cage towards Byson, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Byson lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Byson celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Mike Byson!
