Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jerry Orbach!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aluicious James!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Orbach.

Orbach wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by James, who protects the arm well.
James tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Orbach is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but James is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Orbach tries to advance to mount but James denies him.
James is looking for a sweep.
James gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Orbach working for a guillotine from mount but James is in no mood to give up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Orbach avoids the attempt from James to control.

James defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Orbach.
James can't escape the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Orbach has hold of James's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and James manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Orbach fails to move to back control.
James is looking to improve his position but Orbach isn't that keen on the idea.

Orbach with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Orbach fails to advance to James's back.
Orbach is breathing heavily.

Orbach working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Orbach avoids the attempt from James to control.
Orbach wants to take his opponent's back but James doesn't allow it.
James sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
James should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

James looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Orbach seems to be working for a kimura but James defends the submission attempt.
James has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Orbach is working away from the top position though.
James moves into full guard.
James wants to sweep here but Orbach controlling him for the moment.

Orbach has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing James to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Orbach is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - James pulls down on the head and he's put Orbach to sleep! This one is all over!
