Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shipto Puen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shipto Puen could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Johnny Bravo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Bravo!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Columbo Gatti and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bravo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Puen to the mat! Puen manages to get full guard.
Bravo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Puen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Puen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Bravo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Puen wants to stand and escape but Bravo is having none of it.

Bravo controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Bravo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bravo is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Despite being in the dominant position, Johnny Bravo just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Puen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Bravo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Puen sprawls well initially but Bravo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Bravo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
I looks like Bravo might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Puen is trying to stand back up but Bravo is controlling him
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Shipto Puen will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Puen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bravo's head backwards.

Bravo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bravo showed some decent athleticism there.

Let's hope that Bravo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

I think Bravo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
