Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Dimaya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dimaya shoots in for a double leg but Mendes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Dimaya really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Mendes slaps away a takedown attempt from Dimaya, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Mendes thumps Dimaya with a low kick.

Dimaya feints and as Mendes raises his hands in defense, Dimaya changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Dimaya's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Dimaya has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Dimaya trying to control but Mendes is working from the bottom.
Dimaya not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Mendes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dimaya can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Dimaya controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Mendes tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dimaya slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Mendes is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dimaya is aware though and is defending well.
Dimaya is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Bryan Dimaya just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Mendes throws a leg kick which misses Dimaya's front leg but catches the back leg as Dimaya tries to avoid it.

Dimaya drives through with a takedown into guard.
Dimaya slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Mendes controls Dimaya momentarily but Dimaya frees himself.

Mendes can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dimaya controls the pace.
Dimaya trying to control the position from guard on top but Mendes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dimaya is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mendes is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Mendes wants to sweep but no luck.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Mendes has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Dimaya should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Mendes has tightened it up now! Dimaya should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
